Membership

                          Memberships renewed before the specified date prior to the start of the season, will be eligible for a membership gift (Society funds depending).

                          Later renewal of Membership will only be considered up until the due date for deposits for the first event of the season.

                          New Members are welcome, until the date for deposits for the first event of the season.

                          New Members cannot win any prizes on their first two events and are not eligible for any “Order of Merit” prize throughout their first season.

                          Membership can be refused or cancelled at anytime, by order of the full Committee.

 

Deposits

                          Deposits for all events throughout the season must be paid to the Secretary at The Bricklayers, by each date specified.

                          Failure to attend an event for which a deposit has been paid (for whatever reason) may result in the loss of deposit.  (This condition remains subject to any food costs / green fees payable to the Club at which the event is being held).

 

Guests

                          Members may only invite Guests to attend on nominated Guest days (unless that Member is Sponsor for the event).

                          Guests can only win Guest prizes and are excluded from “Longest Drive” & “Nearest The Pin”, unless a separate Guest prize is provided accordingly.

 

Handicaps

                          The winning Member of each event will have their handicap cut no less than two shots. The second placed Member will have their handicap cut no less than one shot. 

                          Further cuts beyond 1st and 2nd places may be considered where appropriate.

                          Handicaps will be subject to a “performance review” over the winter break.

                          New Members handicaps remain subject to further change, at any time before commencement of their third event.

                          Handicap adjustments will only be made following consultation between no less than two Committee Members.

                          Handicap alterations during the Golf Break are revoked, on return to full Society events.

 

The Draw

                          Sponsors or Members inviting Guests will be limited to the nomination of one Member within their playing party.  Any remaining Golfers within that party will be subject to the blind scorecard draw.

 

Your Committee

                          Your annual Committee will consist of the nominated Captain, Secretary and Treasurer and their decision shall remain final.  Nominations are accepted at the “End of Season AGM”.
