The introduction of the Knockout Cup in 2009 has been brought about as a further means for Members to benefit from socialising outside the regular Society Events not only in an effort to play more golf, but to get to know fellow Members and play one another’s “home” courses.

Pride of winning the Knockout Cup will result in the winning Member’s name being placed on a new "Knockout Cup" Trophy (kindly donated by Mr Jim Burns) with notional prize money being funded by the Society, as is the Order of Merit.  (It is thought that 1-2-1 side-bets will obviously pay off as you progress throughout the Competition).
